Tesla has not met its production goals for the Model 3.  While delivery on its first mass-market electric car is delayed, a few other brands are modernizing their own models that they have dependably created or have publicized competing future electric cars.

Even though there are pre-orders in the hundreds of thousands range for the glorified Model 3 electric sedan, Tesla has been unable to manufacture and supply its progressive car on time. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, said that the company is far away from its production goals, and it appears that these problems wont be fixed anytime in the near future. Accordingly, several other brands are revising their own models or plan to manufacture cars that can compete with Tesla’s new model. Here are six cars that pose the biggest threat.

The price of the car will start at $29,990. The 2018 model will be released by Nissan in the beginning of the year. Nissan has really concentrated on improving the experience of navigating a car. Therefore, the new model will have heightened braking and autopilot features, which mill make driving more effortless.

  1. The 2018 Chevy Bolt

The price of the car will start at $37,495. In 2015, before Tesla became the standard, General Motors released an inexpensive electric car, the Chevy Bolt, and surprised the automotive world. The 2018 model will be marginally distinct from the 2017 model, and includes new characteristics like a sliding sun visor and a steering wheel that heats up.

  1. The BMW Mini E

Although BMW hasn’t provided many details about this innovative car, it has stated that it plans to manufacture 12 electric cars by the year 2025. Included in these plans is the Mini E, which should be ready for purchase in 2019.
