Gal Gadot, a 32-year-old Israeli actress, was paid $300,000 to star in the blockbuster movie “Wonder Woman.” Although she is appreciative of her salary, fans believe that she warranted a much higher paycheck.
Her salary was part of an agreement to star in three films, including “Batman vs Superman” and “Justice League,”where she would receive $300,000 for each film.
Fans have come to her defense after her salary was revealed, but in actuality it appears that the amount is common for a comparatively standard actor’s first superhero movie.
In the 2011 movie “Captain America,” Chris Evans received a similar amount for the film’s first installment, and Chris Hemsworth supposedly earned less for Thor. It is very likely that Gadot will negotiate a substantially better deal for the film’s sequel, as “Wonder Woman” has earned more than $800 million worldwide.
